Why is my Barrel Door not Closing? - How To

The natural untreated cedar used in constructing the barrel will expand and contract with the changing of the weather. Especially in the first year your barrel has been assembled, this expansion can cause the barrel to settle unevenly. What has likely happened is your barrel has started to lean forward so the barrel ends are not perfectly upright in its level position. This causes strain on the door frame and in turn, the door can start rubbing on the frame or not sealing properly. 
You can test this by placing your level on the barrel ends straight up and you should get an idea from this how far your barrel needs to be moved and this adjustment can be done by simply pushing the barrel.

Additionally, you can loosen the magnets on the door frame itself a small enough if the door is not properly sealing after you have ensured the barrel is level.
