Elevate your Sauna Experience
In order to have a traditional sauna experience you only need two things: a sauna and a heat source. If this minimal approach is what speaks to you, then by all means keep doing what you’re doing. However, if you’re looking to take your sauna experience to the next level, we can help! Three words: “Accessorize your sauna!”
Start with the basics:
For a traditional sauna experience, a bucket and ladle is a must. Fill the bucket with water and use the ladle to sprinkle water on your hot sauna stones for a rejuvenating burst of steam. The steam adds humidity to your sauna experience helping to soothe the respiratory system, as well as, hydrating dry skin. It really is the Finnish way!
If you want to track the temperature and humidity levels in your sauna, make sure to have a thermometer and a hygrometer. We offer a chrome sauna thermometer/hygrometer combo that displays the metrics in both F° and C°. The metal frame and glass front enables it to withstand the high temperatures and steam of a traditional sauna.
Chromotherapy (color therapy) is the science of using light and color to balance out and restore the energy of the body. By adding LED mood lighting to your sauna, you get to choose the mood and atmosphere each time you step into your sauna.
Add aromatherapy to your sauna routine with essential oils. We offer eight natural scents: pine, ylang ylang, lavender, cedarwood, frankincense, eucalyptus, peppermint, and lemon oil. Each scent has its own unique health benefits from boosting your immune system to aiding in sleep. Add a few drops to a bucket of water and sprinkle it over the hot sauna rocks.
Himalayan salt is known for being the purest salt on earth, rich in minerals and a natural detoxifier of the body and surrounding air. When gently heated by the warmth of your sauna, the salt crystals release these minerals, enriching the quality of the surrounding air. Breathe easier and find comfort in the soft pink glow of a therapeutic pink salt light.
For added comfort:
If you’re looking for a little extra support, try out the cedar sauna back rest! The slight curve of the wooden slats is designed to support the small of your back for a little extra comfort. It is free-standing and can be strategically placed in order to provide the most relief for each individual user.
If you would rather lie down while taking a sauna, then maybe the head lift is for you. Lifting your head just enough to support your neck and shoulders; it’s the perfect sauna pillow!
The perfect addition to the head lift or back rest is the leg lift! The leg lift is designed to fit underneath the back of your knees while you stretch out in your sauna, encouraging better circulation and support throughout the whole body.
Note: All comfort accessories are made from the highest quality red cedar lumber and can be stored conveniently beneath the sauna bench when not in use.
