Cabins and the Cube should be built on a prepared foundation however, typically concrete is the best option.

How long will my sauna last?
How long will my sauna last?
The lifespan of your sauna will depend heavily on the environment it's placed in, as well as how well you maintain the sauna on a daily basis. To ensure maximum lifespan, keep up with proper maintenance, but also be sure to use the sauna on a daily basis. Typically the sauna should be run for 1-2 hours a day, 3-4 times a week, to keep the lumber and heater in great shape.
