Hemfir is lighter in color with small tight knots that give its rustic appearance. Rustic Fir is our most popular lumber for indoor saunas and is also ideal for exterior applications. The exterior of the sauna can be left natural or stained or painted as desired. This lumber is sourced from North America.

I noticed my sauna's backrests are making these impossible to install, how do I get around this?

This is a great question! You will need to remove the backrests from your sauna to install these. If you're worried about not having a backrest to use anymore, check out our floating backrests in the accessories section!

Should I use this Hybrid Kit while my traditional heater is running?

The Hybrid IR Panels and Traditional Heaters should be used separately. If using them one after another, please allow for a short break between the two, as the traditional sauna will need time to cool down before the panels should be activated.

Can I lean back against these panels while using the sauna?

Yes, these panels can support weight against them during your sauna session!
