To best preserve and enhance your investment, be sure to wipe down the interior and vacuum as needed. Maintenance products, such as the heater and sauna cleaners, are additional recommendations on how to best preserve your sauna.
On an annual basis, it is recommended you hand vacuum the heater cavity, clean or replace heater stones as needed, and use a low-pressure wash on the exterior of the sauna. For barrel saunas, check the exterior for loose parts. Find additional information on how to best care for and maintain your sauna here.
FAQs
Why does this sauna have wooden cradles instead of Plastic?
The Takoa comes with thermally modified pine cradles, which is a more premium feature than our standard plastic cradles.
What is the purpose of having shingles on the sauna?
Shingles prevent any weather from penetrating and potentially compromising your sauna, as well as give your sauna an enhanced and premium appearance.
How does the sauna fair in colder climates with the half moon glass window?
The half moon glass window has a thickness of 22mm(just under 7/8") and is a double pane glass so it will withstand the temperature difference. The thickness of the wood is 1-9/16" so this sauna will have no issues heating up to the normal temperature range, even in extremely cold climates.
