We love our new sauna. It heats up beautifully and is an attractive addition to our bedroom suite. We are big people (6’3” and 5’8”) so it’s a little tight when we’re both in there, but it’s so nice we don’t care.

I was extremely eager to receive our sauna after hearing great things about this company. Unfortunately, my experience did not match the positive reviews, which is why I’m sharing this feedback.

With the help of the included instructions and YouTube videos (as the instructions alone were insufficient), we were able to assemble the sauna. When it came time to install the heater, we hired an electrician to hook it up. After eight hours, three unanswered phone calls to Almost Heaven, and $800 in labor, the electrician left without getting the heater to work.

Assuming our electrician had made an error, and after more unanswered calls, we brought in a local sauna professional for another inspection. After four more hours, two additional unanswered calls, and $400 later, the heater was still not functional.

After several attempts to reach Autaja Bowers (who was listed as my contact in an email following my purchase), I finally connected with Kellen Mouw on 1/20/25. Kellen and I exchanged emails and pictures of the heater, and he brought in Steve Ramsey and Wade Cook from the troubleshooting team to assist. Kellen informed me that my electrician had wired something incorrectly, which may have blown the controller box—an incredibly frustrating revelation after so many failed attempts to get support.

Despite my willingness to purchase a new controller box, I needed Kellen to schedule a time to assist our electrician with completing the installation. Once again, I went three days without a response from Kellen, Steve, or Wade. On 1/24/25, after repeatedly calling the main line, I finally reached Kellen, only to be told he was a “busy director traveling for work”.

In the end, I was refunded for the heater—minus the cost of the supposedly “blown” controller box—without anyone even confirming that it was actually damaged.

Bottom line: This company’s customer service desperately needs improvement. The lack of communication seems to be a systemic issue, especially if Kellen, as a director, is leading the sales team. As of today (1/29/25), I still do not have a functional sauna and am now paying for a new heater installation—this time by a professional who actually communicates. I will not be recommending this company to anyone.

Purchased November 2024. IR panels don’t work and there was no follow up from customer service. Should have just purchased the steam only sauna as buying the Hybrid model was a waste.

Easy to build, mild cedar aroma (not overwhelming for having indoors). I have the Spirit heater, looks nice with the rocks, the app/WiFi controls are convenient. Had a professional electrician wire it up.

From ordering our Auburn sauna, installation and now using it, Almost Heaven has been such a great experience. My rep, Kalyn, answered all of my questions during the purchasing process and helped me to think through which model and upgrades would be right for me. Which was especially important given that I placed my sauna outside (I do cover it when not in use). Took my son and I about 4-5 hours to assemble, and hired an electrician to wire the heater. Couldn't be happier with the service and product.
